CREWS. IT IS, INDEED. CATHERINE, WE JUST HAD A CREW FROM CHICAGO LIVE HERE ABOUT 20 MINUTES AGO AFTER GETTING POWER BACK ON IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD. EVERSOURCE SAYS A RECORD NUMBER OF UTILITY CREWS ARE WORKING TO RESTORE POWER. AND HERE IN HILLSBORO, ACCORDING TO THEIR OUTAGE MAP, ABOUT 800 CUSTOMERS ARE STILL IN THE DARK. AND IT’S A SIMILAR SITUATION IN SURROUNDING TOWNS AND WHERE CREWS ARE HARD AT WORK REPLACING A UTILITY POLE THAT HAD SNAPPED. BUT PROGRESS WAS BEING MADE AS BY MID-MORNING, ONLY ABOUT. 14% OF THE TOWN WAS WITHOUT POWER. HOWEVER, JUST IN CASE THE TOWN DID OPEN AN EMERGENCY CENTER FOR PEOPLE TO GET WARM IF NEEDED. NOW, TERRY CREWS ARE ALSO BEING KEPT BUSY AND LIKE MANY OF THE UTILITY CREWS, THEY WERE ALSO FROM OUT OF STATE. THIS PARTICULAR CREW UP FROM VIRGINIA. NOW, CREWS HAVE REPORTED DIFFICULTY IN GETTING TO SOME OF THE OUTAGES. AND THIS CREW SAID THAT FOR THE MOST PART, IT HASN’T BEEN A PROBLEM, ALTHOUGH THEY WERE UNABLE TO GET UP ONE HILL. THOSE WHO WERE WITHOUT POWER ARE COPING AND HAVING A GENERATOR. DEFINITELY HELPS. WE HAVE THE HOUSE SET UP CERTAIN ROOMS, THE KITCHEN, THE PUMP, THE WATER PUMP AND THE FURNACE AND THE FREEZER. SO I HAVE AN OLD KITCHEN RANGE STOVE AND KEEP THAT GOING. AND I TOOK A LOT OF STUFF OUTSIDE AND PUT IT IN THE SNOW. I KNOW WE’RE GOING TO LOSE A LITTLE BIT OF STUFF, BUT, YOU KNOW, THIS IS WHAT IT IS. YOU MAKE DO. PEOPLE CAN FIND OUT WHEN THE ESTIMATED TIME POWER WILL BE RESTORED IN THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD BY GOING TO THE OUTAGE MAP. BUT EVERSOURCE SAYS EVERYBODY SHOULD HAVE THEIR LIGHTS BACK ON BY SIX TOMORROW EVENING. REPORTIN
