I think the issue with Stella is, that outside of her hatred of Stolas, there is nothing to the character. I like the design and the voice actor, but her personality is very one note. Octavia and Stella have never had a real conversation throughout the show, does her abuse extend to her daughter or is she either a neutral or someone who occasionally tries to be a good parent to her daughter?

It would be interesting if Andrealphus wanted to use Octavia as a political pawn and have Stella truly give up any redeeming qualities and go along with it or if Stella would oppose her brother's designs towards her daughter.

What would really help is an episode focusing on Stella and Octavia. Because out of the 3 important characters she's talked to, one is Stolas, who she despises, and the other two are on the same wavelength as her on f*cking Stolas' sh*t up. But her interacting with Octavia would be the exception since she actually likes her father. This would give Stella a new dynamic where she has to talk to someone that doesn't have the same mindset as her. And not only would this allow us to get us a deeper view into how their relationship plays out but would have Stella get to do something outside of just yelling at or about Stolas.

Now the problem here is that if none of the shorts are about them (Which I'm really hoping that one of them is), and Ghostf*ckers certainly won't have this, then we would get this sort of thing about 5/6 months from now. Which is a long while from now.

It actually would be interesting if, despite being neglectful and distant of Via most of the time, the few times Stella and her do interact would be quite soft-spoken and courteous.

Stella does love Octavia

DOES she, though? Isn’t basically the ONLY time Stella has even referred to Octavia the time where she dismissively referred to her as ”an egg that fell out of her” in a flashback? That doesn’t really sound like something a parent who loves their child would say.

The only other time Stella ever had any sort of on-screen behavior that was the least bit parental was in the opening flashback of "Loo Loo Land", where Octavia's nightmare-induced crying woke her and Stolas up in the middle of the night. And even then, the only thing she does in response is to tell Stolas "You get up" to go deal with that.

Pretty sure Stella doesn't love Octavia, the way she talks about her as just being an egg she passed and her response in flashback of Octavia as a adorable kid crying in the night tells me that she didn't care about her back then.

Doubt she cares about her now, she was perfectly fine at throwing stuff at Stolas near her (Octavia could of easily gotten hit by a stray) and calling a hit on Stolas right infront of her. Also, admittedly this is speculation but I am pretty Stella would see too much of Stolas in Octavia and would neglect her and ignore her at best on that front. Out of both them Octavia looks the most like Stolas, just tinier and smaller with longer hair and a bigger beak.

Stella only cares about status from my understanding. Octavia and Stolas happiness don't really factor into that. The only thing I can see her trying to do for Octavia is try to teach her how to deal with social politics but its Stella so shes probably going to be nasty about it or manipulate her a bunch. Either that or shes going to try to wrestle away full custody from Stolas just to spite him and try to mold Octavia into what she wants, functionally dooming Tavi to a same miserable situation that Stolas was put in by Paimon.

I have to wonder what may happen considering a couple of the scenes from the trailer as Octavia just appears to just gone back to thinking Stolas doesn't care about her for the third time. I kinda hope its due to Stella and Andre trying to turn her on Stolas but who knows. Could very well be another misunderstanding between Stolas and Octavia or Stolas made a mistake or whatever. I think it wouldn't be too hard for Stella and Andre to lovebomb Octavia, Octavia does not at all know about how exactly Stella treats her dad. Her dad kept it from her to try to keep her happy.

I think you could probably show a different side to Stella with Octavia but have it still be a bit sinister. Maybe make it ambiguous on what she actually feels about her I suppose.

Or perhaps Stella has started abusing Octavia like she did with Stolas, and Octavia has come to mentally associate her mother's abuse with her father's affair with Blitzo and the separation that followed, and so incorrectly blames him for the rotten situation she's in (e.g. "Why did you leave me with her?")?

I like Stolas honestly as a mostly good dad but a flawed one. He gets hyperfocused a fair bit when he feels strong emotions for someone like Blitzo (love) and Stella (hate) which unfortunately may cause him to neglect Tavi when she needs it.

I can't really blame him for it or blame her for feeling angry towards him over it. Its a sh*t situation that they both are in and I genuinely don't see how it could of gone differently. I mean maybe Stolas could of tried to divorce her far sooner and took Octavia with him but that would of had its own big complications considering it sounds like the Ars Goetia needed Octavia to be born for some reason or another...

I wouldn't be surprised if Stella abuses Octavia but I kinda hope thats not the case because Octavia is my favorite character and she has enough sh*t to deal with.

Stolas is in a very tough situation (one that really makes you understand why he made a lot of the mistakes he did with Blitzo). It's hard to say whether Stella loves Octavia in any shape of form, but it's clear she doesn't care that much if she's willing to murder her daughter's beloved father.

I hope we get more Octavia and Loona interaction (the Pride picture did suggest they would appear more as friends), it's nice for Octavia to have someone outside of her parents in her life who can help her.

I love Octavia and Loona interactions.

Hell I'd love to see Octavia interact with Blitzo more one on one. Maybe in the future I suppose.

I'd like a view into why Stella likes her snooty lifestyle and how she'd try to get Octavia to be interested in said stuff. That's right, make it comedic and how she'd sorta fail in trying to get her Goth daughter to be into high class sh*t.

You could do that comedically, have it play out as a standard moody teenager hating to get dressed up by a parent and kind have it playout as her just tolerating it until she sees a nice text from her dad which gets her to actually smile.

I would 100% see Stella using Octavia as a dressup doll or trying to get her into more classier hobbies like gossiping and such.

There's two ways I'd like Stella to act in the shopping spree scenario. Either have her be comically snobby or act like an overly excited teenage Valley Girl (without the accent). You can still have her not really care about Via as a person or as a daughter, but her having legitimate enjoyment in dressing Via up like a Barbie? That would be fun.
