What is the difference between CVS CarePass and ExtraCare? ›

CVS Pharmacy has evolved its loyalty program into two simplified membership tiers: the free loyalty tier will remain branded as ExtraCare, while the paid membership — previously called CarePass — has been rebranded as ExtraCare Plus.

The first loyalty and membership program that offers free national pharmacy delivery on eligible prescriptions, CarePass gives customers more ways to access the health-focused care and products they're looking for when and where they need them for a $5 monthly membership or an annual fee of $48.

You may not have used your ExtraCare® card when you made your purchase. If you don't have your card, you can use the phone number that's associated with your membership when you shop in a store. If you used your card and still didn't receive rewards, your purchase or payment may not have qualified.

2% back ExtraBucks Rewards expire 90 days from the end of each calendar quarter following their date of issue (March 31, June 30, September 30, December 31). ExtraCare members must redeem ExtraBucks Rewards before their stated expiration date.

You can register for your no- cost CVS CarePass® membership program directly through your secure Aetna® member website at myaetnawebsite.com. Note that to participate in the new CVS CarePass® program you will need to first enroll in the CVS ExtraCare® card program (also available at no charge).

Does CVS take expired coupons? No, CVS does not accept expired coupons. Expired coupons cannot be reissued; they must be used before their expiration date.

You also can call 1-800-SHOP CVS(1-800-746-7287) as long as the coupon has not gone beyond its expiration date. Expired coupons cannot be reissued. ExtraBucks Rewards® earned from buying specific items in the weekly ad cannot be reissued.
